Mattel collaborates with American artist and designer Justina Blakeney, the creative mind behind Jungalow, to give Barbie’s Dreamhouse a vibrant makeover.

The living room transformation, showcased on Instagram, mirrors Blakeney’s iconic style, featuring abundant textures, vivid colours, lush plants, and even Blakeney’s design books. Using Barbie’s existing furniture, Blakeney repainted, reupholstered, and adorned the space with Jungalow-inspired artwork. Reflecting on her childhood love for crafting miniature worlds for Barbie, Blakeney aimed to create a space where Barbie could embrace individuality amid a mix of textures, colours, and greenery. Repurposing vintage furniture and reinventing it in new fabrics became a nostalgic and creative journey back to childhood.
