The Cassina Store Miami, now open in the Miami Design District, has been designed to feel like home, fully embodying "The Cassina Perspective", the company’s vision to create curated, warm and welcoming atmospheres.
For the opening, part of the building’s façade has been decorated by the creative studio Big in Japan, who has pictured the brand’s icons as treasures under the ocean. Developed in collaboration with Luminaire, this installation aims to regularly involve up-and-coming artists to become an urban landmark in the Miami Design District, confirming Cassina’s cross-cultural attitude.
Inside the store, a special pop-up display celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Cassina iMaestri Collection, showcasing some of its most renowned pieces. To pay homage to this important occasion, the book ‘Echoes, Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri’, curated by Ivan Mietton and published by Rizzoli, is presented as an exclusive preview.
Putting the spotlight on the company’s manufacturing and carpentry skills, during the opening event a Cassina artisan will assemble the 699 Superleggera chair by Gio Ponti, one of the most iconic items in this emblematic collection.
The Cassina Store Miami represents the third opening in the USA in 2023, following the Cassina Store Los Angeles, the brand’s largest store worldwide, and the Cassina Store Seattle, thus reinforcing the company’s presence in this region.
