Belgian carpet label Maison Forton launches Pebbles collection

After one year, the Belgian sustainable carpet brand Maison Forton is launching its new collection named Pebbles. The carpet is inspired by small smooth pebbles that you often find on the beach or along the banks of a river. These natural elements formed the basis for the design, in line with the principles of biophilic design.

'At Maison Forton, it's all about coming home and being completely yourself in your own cozy and safe cocoon. At the same time, we strive for our carpet never to become waste again. Our soft revolution thus contributes to a positive impact on future generations', the brand says.

The carpet is made from 80% recycled materials, such as fishing nets, old carpets, and industrial waste. In addition, the impact of miles travelled by carpets also plays a role. The production process of Maison Forton takes place in Belgium, followed by the finishing which takes place in the Netherlands.

The Pebbles collection embraces the trend of organic, round shapes directly inspired by nature, and brings them to your interior. This collection finds its inspiration in pebbles from oceans and rivers, making them a reflection of the waves and currents that give the characteristic shapes to the pebbles. The collection consist of three timeless and minimal colours. The colourful border adds a playful touch.

About Maison Forton
Even before Maison Forton, Jozefien, the founder, was already passionate about carpets. Her travel adventures in Scandinavia, Southern Europe, and the Benelux with a suitcase full of carpets and a hefty dose of research were the starting point for Maison Forton in 2022.
