UK-based design firm Morgan Studio's Aran Collection has been shortlisted for both Product of the Year and Public, Leisure or Office Furniture at the FX Awards 2023. The FX Awards are back at the Grosvenor House Hotel, celebrating world-class design excellence with style and black tie again on Wednesday 29th November 2023. The awards are judged by a panel of distinguished experts from the contract design industry, including designers, architects, engineers and clients.
The Aran Collection is made from a combination of renewable and recyclable materials with a focus on comfort, sculptural design, and environmental consciousness. Inspired by the rich knitting history of the Aran Islands, the collection presents a sculptural appearance with minimal mass that aims to celebrate the unique qualities of this craft.
Comprising of only the most essential elements: an knitted sleeve, held in tension over a supporting timber frame, resulting in a flexible ergonomic surface that comfortably cradles the user without any conventional upholstery.
