Infore Group acquires majority stake in Kuka Home in $1.4 billion deal

Kuka Home, a prominent player in the furniture industry, has undergone a significant change in ownership as Infore Group secures a controlling interest in the company's parent entity, Kuka Group. The transaction, valued at approximately $1.4 billion, signifies a pivotal moment in Kuka Home's trajectory, emphasizing strategic growth in the furniture market.

Infore Group, an investment firm guided by He Jianfeng, the son of Midea Group's founder He Xiangjian, acquired 29.42% of Kuka Group's shares, establishing a strong foothold within the company. Notably, the Gu family, the leading shareholder in Kuka Group, sold a significant portion of their shares to Infore Group.

Kuka Home's aspirations extend globally, especially within the North American market. This acquisition unveils a promising future for Kuka Home, highlighting a dedicated pursuit of expansion and success in diverse furniture categories.
