Design brand Gantri launched the Fold collection, inspired by the belief that in the right environment, you can recharge while you work. The brand partnered with Teixeira Design Studio, known for its minimal, yet multifunctional designs that improve your work-from-home productivity. The Fold Lamp does this via its dual system focused on both task and mood lighting.
The Fold Lamp has an upward, diffused glow, which creates a calming atmosphere paired with a downward light for productive focus. On a desk the Fold Table Light is designed to create a calm yet energizing workspace. Whereas in the living room, the task light sets the mood while having enough light to read. The dimmable light creates a warm, productive workspace that is both energizing and comforting.
'While designing Fold we wanted to blend both task light and a mood light, in one. A flexible and multifunctional lamp that doesn’t rely on mechanical adjustments, instead, it uses a clever and straightforward design. Fold is all about productivity through comfort and based on the belief that in the right environment, you can recharge while you work', Teixeira mentioned on social media.
'We were particularly inspired by both Richard Serra’s Matter of Time sculptures and Pierre Paulin’s Ribbon chair. This led us to start from a single piece of paper and explore organic shapes only by folding it in a continuous and seamless way, hence the name.'
