Crassevig celebrates Mixis Chair's 10th anniversary

'A decade of flowing lines and sustainability'

This year, Italian seating company Crassevig is celebrating Mixis Chair's tenth anniversary. It's a chair of sinuous functionality, born from the collaboration with renowned designer Mario Ferrarini.

Mixis is a stacking chair that blends eco-friendliness, curves and multi-materiality, exemplifying the synergy between aesthetics, technical comfort, and ethics. 'The chair's sinuous lines and thoughtful comfort define its elegance for any kind of space', the brand mentions in their press release. 'The ten-year design by Mario Ferrarini is much more than a collection. Seamlessly merging solid wood and plywood from FSC certified forests, Mixis embodies Crassevig's approach towards the environment.'

'I have imagined a wooden chair ideally designed by a ribbon. I thought of a seamless joining technique of solid wood and plywood. I had in mind a fluid ensemble and wrap-around shapes', Mario Ferrarini says.
