Flos introduced the playful Bilboquet lamp, by Canadian designer Philippe Malouin. 'Simple in appearance but bursting with personality', the brand calls the lamp. Bilboquet is an adjustable table lamp that directs light in any direction.
Named after a game originating from France in the 16th century, the Bilboquet's frame is connected to a sleek magnetic sphere. This allows it to be used in a number of different configurations. 'Whether used as a task light on a desk, or to provide a soft glow against a wall, or directed at a good book, Bilboquet shines light where it is needed.'
Malouin describes Bilboquet as a lamp for millennials and Gen Z, a flexible illumination tool that adapts to the multilayered approach to the home that is defining his generation (and those that come after).
